Major orthopedic surgeries (for example, neck or spinal surgery, knee and hip replacements, and more) are only covered as an in-network service when performed at an Aetna Institute of Quality (IOQ). Bariatric surgery is only covered when performed at an IOQ. These facilities that have been selected for surpassing quality and efficiency standards and that show commitment to high-quality, cost-effective care.

Before scheduling orthopedic or bariatric surgery, contact Aetna at 1-800-238-3488 to speak to an Aetna One Choice Nurse and research orthopedic IOQs near you at www.aetna.com. If you do not receive care through an Aetna IOQ facility, Arkema medical plans will cover major orthopedic surgery at 60%, but will not cover bariatric surgery.

The first step in using WINFertility Fertility Benefits is to sign up and register for WINFertility on managed.winfertility.com/Arkema (use access code: ARK25). A care advocate will guide you through your journey with medical expertise and emotional support. Through WINFertility, you can receive a combined lifetime maximum of up to $25,000 in reimbursements for fertility benefits and adoption and surrogacy services. Please note: in order to receive the $25,000 lifetime maximum for fertility services, you must be enrolled in an Arkema medical plan.
While fertility benefits are provided by WINFertility, Aetna offers an additional support program, the Aetna Maternity Program, which you can count on to support you throughout your entire pregnancy journey. You can also get extra help if you have an at-risk pregnancy. If you have a health condition or other risk that could affect your pregnancy, the nurse case managers will work with you to manage or maybe even lower those risks. In most cases, full-term babies have fewer health problems than pre-term babies. If you’re at risk for early labor, they will explain the signs and symptoms and help you lower those risks as well as discuss treatment options.
