Take time to care for your new child! Union employees may be eligible for paid parental leave depending on their Collective Bargaining Agreement and regular schedule of hours worked.
For salaried, non-union employees, if you have been with Arkema for six or more months, you are eligible for paid parental leave. Arkema offers four weeks of paid leave for you to care for and bond with your child. You may take parental leave any time during the first year after your child’s birth, or placement for adoption or foster care with you. Leave may be taken as four consecutive weeks or in weekly increments or blocks of days if you work rotating shifts Parental leave is paid at 100% of your base rate.
If you are a birth mother, you are eligible for a minimum of 8 weeks of disability following delivery, regardless of type of delivery. Disability time prior to delivery or following 8 weeks is based on medical support provided by the physician to Lincoln Financial. This benefit is in addition to your 4 weeks of paid parental leave.
Lincoln Financial Group administers our FMLA, disability and parental leave programs. Contact your HR Manager for more information. To apply for parental leave, visit www.mylincolnportal.com (company code: Arkema) or call 1-800-505-4176.
You have to migrate your Lincoln Financial account from MyLincolnPortal.com to LincolnFinancial.com. You will still have access to the same benefits, but to access your account you will login using LincolnFinancial.com.

If you work in a State that provides for paid family leave, you must still call Lincoln Financial to notify them that you want to take Parental leave. Any state family leave will run concurrently with both FMLA and any Arkema STD and Parental Leave benefits. Arkema will provide a differential STD or parental leave payment through payroll that, when added to the STD parental leave benefits you receive, will total 100% of your base pay when state family leave overlaps with parental leave. Many states offer parental bonding and other family care leave in excess of what Arkema offers. In these cases, you would request leave through Lincoln Financial Group and apply with them or the state for leave beyond what Arkema offers.
